AdHUD is simple and straightforward to use. Click the ad to display the main menu. The instructions below will refer to the following screenshot. If you have any problems, consult the FAQ for common issues and their resolutions.

Wearing AdHUD

You must first wear AdHUD to receive payment and watch ads. AdHUD will not work if attached to your body. It must be attached to your HUD.

To wear AdHUD, locate it in your inventory and right click on it. Select "Wear" or "Attach to HUD". The default attachment point is the upper left HUD location.

To remove AdHUD right click the AdHUD display area and select "Detach" from the pie menu.

Payment

AdHUD must be attached to your HUD to enable payment. AdHUD pays at a rate of $1L per every 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes of wearing the AdHUD, click the ad to display the main menu. Click the (Collect $1) button and you will be paid $1L. You must then wait another 15 minutes for your next payment.

The (Collect $1) button constantly moves, to prevent scripted AdHUD camping. The payment frequency is enforced at all levels of the AdHUD architecture. Any attempts to gain payment at higher than the posted rate will result in an error.

Visit the advertiser's store

To visit the advertiser's store to purchase the advertised item, or get more information, select "Goto Shop" from the main menu. The AdHUD Network will deliver a landmark to you withing a few seconds. Click the "Teleport" button on the landmark to visit the advertiser's store.

Getting additional ad details

To view a larger version of the ad, select "Large" from the main menu. To return the AdHUD to it's normal size, select "Small" from the main menu.

To receive a notecard about the ad, select the "More Info" button from the main menu.

Getting a demonstration version

Advertisers can optionally provide a demonstration version of their items. If an ad provides a demonstration version, select "Demo" from the main menu, and the AdHUD Network will deliver a demonstration object in a few seconds.

Sharing AdHUD

To share AdHUD with other users, select "Share" from the main menu. A list of users who are near you will be displayed. Click the button with the user's name, and they will be sent a copy of AdHUD.

Only share AdHUD if you know the recipient wants AdHUD. Do not SPAM other users with AdHUD. If we get complaints about spamming, we will investigate, and possibly disable the offending user's account and revoke their referral payments.

Referral Bonus

Every time you share AdHUD with another user, you become eligible for a referral bonus of up to $20L. Each time a user who you've given AdHUD is paid, you will be paid the same amount, up to $20L.

Getting a new version

Periodically, we release new versions of AdHUD. To get a new version, select "Update" from the main menu. A new version will be delivered to you within a few seconds.
